Welcome to my fit by 40 Journey! while running a 5k today I met a lady who inspired me to start this blog. I have been blogging a family blog and while thats about my life with my wonderful family this will be about my personal Journey to be fit by 40 (12 months from now). My hope is that this constantly inspires me and maybe you too.(p.s. please don't pay to much attention to my grammer or punctuations- I'm not writing a book I'm keeping a jouranl hee-hee)

A bump in the road
I would like to sit here and write about how I was running and some how didn't see this huge-o bump in the road at which point found myself splat on the ground and had to figure out how to recover. Nope not today ( hee-hee) I have been feeling the need to write and be more dedicated to this blog that I love and yet have been putting it off. I am starting to feel a huge amount of pressure that I have put on myself to be "FIT by 40" I woke up today and started reading thru some older entries which is exactly what I needed. Our family just got back from a wonderful trip to Las vegas, it was so much fun and so yummy in fact we did a total of 4 buffet's I loved them all hahahah. I was proud of myself I actually ate tons of fruit and veggies and yes of course tons of all the other stuff too, oh Did I mention the desserts were extra yummy and I mean yummy. This is my problem though I love food it only takes one bump in the road for me 4-5 days of eating crappy and then the old "give up action" takes over-anyway I did read thru some entries this morning and realized that I am doing it I am getting fit by 40, it makes me so thankful that I started this blog I didn't realize the impact it would have on me that when I struggle with the day today I can look back and really see how far I have come- yes I have had a set back by a couple of weeks its time to return I still have been working out I just need to get the food thing under control. I am making a personal goal right now to write in this blog at least every other day until June 29th (not that I'm counting, but that's in like 8 weeks) just to make sure I stay the course and see the daily progress that is taking place in my own life. I have been known in the past to self sabatoge my getting healthy efforts almost like somewhere deep within I feel not good enough to look great or feel great I just don't want this to be the case this time, so I am pulling up my boot straps or maybe my spandex (hee-hee) and off I go on another 5k run!
